Corps Citoyen is a multidisciplinary artistic collective based between Tunis and Milan. The collective’s practice combines various disciplinary tools – dance, theater, poetry, video, animation, writing, and anthropological research – to create new contemporary narratives. The group’s aim is to strengthen the values of citizenship through artistic practice, education, research, and active civic participation, promoting political and social change. The name *Corps Citoyen* reflects the collective’s core mission: to stimulate social reflection through the expressive power of art, especially the body, which is both a site of biopolitical struggle and a space for creative resistance.

Following the success of their first project, the collective worked on the multidisciplinary participatory project *El Aars. The Wedding Project*, which was featured at several biennials (JAOU – Nation Migrante 2017; DREAMCITY FESTIVAL 2017). Currently, the group has several ongoing projects: *#Commons*, a nomadic research initiative operating in five Mediterranean cities (Gabes, Marseille, Milan, Palermo, Berlin), with its first phase completed in Gabes with support from the Kamel Lazaar Foundation; *Kabinet Photographique Imaginaire*, an imaginative photography studio producing postcards from the ideal city, created for the Utopian Nights Festival (Valletta 2018, Malta) and for the SUPER! festival in Milan (October 2018); and *Cartography of Desire*, a performative audio-guided walk that simultaneously traverses two Mediterranean cities, North and South, created for MANIFESTA12 (5x5x5 program). Since 2018, Corps Citoyen has collaborated with choreographer and dancer Giselda Ranieri/Aldes on the participatory creation project *HO(ME)_project*. This project has been produced in partnership with various festivals and cultural centers: Altofest Malta (2018); CROSS Festival, Verbania (2019/2020); Arci Cremona (2021); and Base Milano – Farout Festival (2022).
