Luca Salvadori is Professor of composition at the Conservatorio Licinio Refice of Frosinone (Italy). As a composer he boasts a catalog of more than 50 works, theatrical, orchestral and chamber, performed by prestigious performers both in Italy and abroad. His theatrical works include the one-act Orto d’acqua on a text by Tonino Guerra, performed in 1995 (Ferentino, EuropaFestival) and the operina Controcanto on a text by Giovanni Fontana staged in Lyon (Festival Polysonneries) in 1999. He has written music for theatrical productions (collaborating with Achille Millo, Mario Roberto Cimnaghi, VenetoTeatro, Teatro di Roma, etc.), radio programs (RAI) and for cinema. He collaborated as orchestrator and music supervisor on the soundtracks of about 40 films, including: Le fate ignoranti, Prendimi l’anima, La leggenda di Al, John e Jack, La finestra di fronte, Io no, Che ne sarà di noi, Alla luce del sole, Hotel Rwanda, Tu la conosci Claudia?, Cuore Sacro; as well as to numerous television dramas: Nerone, Soraya, La guerra è finita, Le stagioni del cuore, Un posto tranquillo. He has edited and performed the complete organ music of W. A. Mozart, G. Ligeti, A. Pärt, F. Busoni, L. Perosi, and L. Refice. He has also been engaged in musicological activities for many years, with a focus on modern and contemporary organ repertoire. He is co-editor-in-chief of the journal Arte organaria e organistica, on whose pages he has published, from ’94 to the present and he is a member of the scientific board for the publication of Opera Omnia for organ by Marco Enrico Bossi (Carrara, Bergamo).
